Sporting events in Denver often look more like a home game for the visiting team. Chalk this up to the amount of transplants moving to the city, the fact that two of its major sports teams are relatively new expansion teams or a combination of both. Ball Arena and Coors Field often receive nicknames like Madison Square Garden West or Wrigley Field West. This was especially true during one historically bad 2016 - 2017 Colorado Avalanche season. Expecting to see a sea of red at a late season matchup with the division leading Chicago Blackhawks I had the idea to create a little fun for the Snapchat using visiting fans by creating a geo-filter of the then Pepsi Center with the moniker United Center West.</p.
