Hopeful environmental solutions for a post-pandemic world.
The culmination of a semester-long research project on the effects of Covid-19 and sustainability practices, Uncover is a brand created to help properly dispose of obsolete face coverings in a hopeful, post-pandemic world. Along with a team of three other designers we set out to examine the pandemic specific increase in single use plastic consumption. Our research concluded that in a post-pandemic world, face coverings would become the most obsolete as most of the other factors we looked at still had practical applications in normal day-to-day life. Aside from digital, we wanted to focus our efforts in public areas that we observed the greatest amount of mask waste including transit stops, high pedestrian areas and supermarkets.
